Step 1: Add the connector
Open Claude, go to Settings and then Connectors, and add a custom connector pointing at cretask.com/mcp. Claude will hand you off to Cretask's authorization screen, where you sign in with the same account you use in the app. Approve the scopes you want it to have and you are connected. Nothing is copied between accounts, the connector reads your live workspace.
Step 2: Choose what it can reach
The consent screen lists exactly what the connector is asking for: reading tasks and projects, creating and updating them, and adding notes. Read-only is a valid choice if you only want Claude to summarise your week. You can revoke or narrow the grant at any time from Settings, Security, and the connector stops working immediately.
Step 3: Work in plain language
Ask for what you would ask a person. Move everything overdue on the launch project to next Monday. What is assigned to me this week that nobody has touched. Draft a plan for the migration and add the first four tasks. Claude resolves names, dates and projects against your real workspace instead of guessing, and tells you what it changed.
Step 4: Keep an audit trail
Every write the connector makes is stamped with the actor, so a task Claude created is visibly a task Claude created. Batched changes can be undone as a unit for thirty days, which means you can let it do bulk work without holding your breath. Watch the first few runs, then let it run.
