Step 1: Connect a workspace
Authorise Cretask from Notion's integration settings and share the specific pages or databases it should see. Notion's permission model is page by page on purpose, so start narrow. Cretask never crawls beyond what you explicitly shared with it.
Step 2: Attach docs to tasks
Paste a Notion URL into a task and it becomes a proper attachment with the page title, icon and last-edited time, refreshed as the page changes. A task with a live spec attached to it is a task nobody has to go hunting for context on.
Step 3: Sync a database of work
Point Cretask at a Notion database and map its properties to task fields: title, status, assignee, due date. Changes flow in both directions on a short interval, with the newer edit winning and the older one preserved in the task's history so nothing is lost quietly.
Step 4: Decide who owns what
Pick one system as the source of truth per field. Most teams keep status in Cretask and prose in Notion, which avoids the usual failure where two tools disagree about whether something shipped. The mapping is editable at any time and takes effect on the next sync.
